Jose and Les’ Trio spent two such Mondays recording a casual, organic album that surely would have made Les smile on his 100th Birthday. My Latin Street Vol. 1. Of greatest significance is Jose Feliciano’s sojourn along My Latin Street, as it is the consummate anthology of his musical roots, featuring much of what’s defined Feliciano as an Artist for so many years. It’s a collection of music that’s been gathered together and recorded during the past several years throughout the United States and Europe.
José Monserrate Feliciano García (born September 10, 1945), better known simply as José Feliciano, is a Puerto Rican musician, singer and composer, best known for many international hits, including his rendition of The Doors' Light My Fire and the best-selling Christmas single, Feliz Navidad. His music is known for its fusion of styles: Latin, jazz, blues, soul and even rock, created primarily with his unique, signature acoustic guitar sound.

In 1970, Feliciano was again to hit big with his Christmas album, "Feliz Navidad," with the title song becoming a classic Christmas song throughout the US, Canada and Latin America, often heard in abundance during each festive period. By now, he had established himself as a hugely popular artist, with his subsequent albums throughout the 1970s continuing to be hits, although never quite reaching the fame of "Light My Fire" and "Feliz Navidad.
