Lou Reed - Ecstasy album flac

Lou Reed : Ecstasy,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен.

Ecstasy is the eighteenth solo studio album by American musician Lou Reed, released in 2000. It is a concept album about Reed's personal experiences with marriage and relationships and is his final rock album that is not a collaboration. The cover photography is by Stefan Sagmeister, who instructed Reed to masturbate behind a curtain to express the feeling of unashamed ecstasy.

Never let it be said that Lou Reed has lost the ability to surprise his audience; who would have thought that at the age of 58, on his first album of the new millennium, Reed would offer us an 18-minute guitar distortion workout with lyrics abut kinky sex, dangerous drugs, and (here's the surprise) imagining what it would be like to.

Ecstasy is the eighteenth album by Lou Reed, released in 2000. The cover photography is by Reed. featuring Lou Reed and Julian Schnabel as the guests, Schnabel recites the entirety of "Rock Minuet",.

Album Ecstasy (2000). Label Reprise Records. Lou Reed, Mike Rathke.

Sure, that happens in New Jersey, too, but Lou Reed's Ecstasy hasn't cracked the Top 20 there. While Ecstasy is essentially a concept album about the fantasies and realities of love and family, it includes as much sex, drugs, and rock n' roll culture as any of Reed's earlier work. Sadly, the stubborn confidence of his once naïve voice has now disappeared. But at this stage in the game, no one's doubting that Reed has paid his dues on the wildside, allowing him to devote more explicit attention to the themes of helplessness and vulnerability his songs have always touched on.

The other day I was desperate to go to the toilet so I had to run home after I got off the bus, when I finally got in the front door and started to go to the toilet, I pulled exactly the same face as Lou Reed is pulling on the front cover of this LP, I would love to know if Lou Reed was going to the toilet or not when they took his photo to use on the front cover, are there any Lou Reed fans who could tell me?
That's pretty funny though. VCR waited to press the record
Well these are obvious insults to Lou Reed so I will tell you what is happening if you bought the CD there's about 10 photos of him while Lou was in the process... The photographer told him to jerk off and the cover is when he came AND THAT'S WHAT YOU SEE .. And that is no joke look it up.
Hi man, happy to help out. I'm a massive Lou Reed fan and I can assure you that this photo was very carefully set up. While Lou was out getting a few bits from Walmart (not his 'big shop', just some snacks and baby wipes) someone taped over his video of hit US sitcom 'Cheers'. Famously, Lou never knew how to programme his video recorder (a running joke among his close friends), so he waited by the telly, and pressed record manually just at the right time, every week. When he returned from the shops, a hidden camera was ready to capture his reaction as he pressed play on his favourite Scott Extra Grade Plus E240. What you are seeing on the cover of this album is the pain of man who is about to settle down with Sam, Carla and Cliff at the bar, but is instead confronted with 'Superbabies 2 - baby geniuses' (a film which he already had on his JVC e180!). The picture is making the point that pain and ecstacy have always been bedfellows. Provocative stuff IMHO.
My EU copy of the 2019 RSD edition is perfectly silent. I never heard an original but this is pretty amazing.
I'm playing it now... I left the plastic on the cover and yes somehow they made the cover so you can fit those heavy LP's and the original sleeves. I like the fact this LP had such a reputation the fact of the German issue and the outrageous price ordeal they used the same labels. Which to me was like a play on the situation. This LP I wish was like all no noise no pops clicks crackles that stuff that's OBVIOUS in the vinyl not your imagination. This was pressed at Optimal Media GmbH and like Pallas Germany cares.
The last Lou Reed record I purchased was New York in '89. From the run in on vinyl, this record is hooky, tough, and almost as cool as Lou himself!! He wasn't young by any stretch, but this lp has some angst aboard. Loose, but put down with the skill of a sharp shooter. GEMA vinyl pressing sounds clean and loud.
An amazing sounding reissue. Full, bold, dynamic. Sounds top notch. Separation and clarity are optimal making this recording pop. You can follow along with the guitar riffs or choose to que in to the vocals. Either way this recording is full and spacious the instruments sound clean and polished. Polylined sleeves, an excellent release. Surprised this one isn't going for more, probably because there are 7500 copies which is a lot. Sounds freaking great. Thick 180g flawless vinyl no clicks, pops or surface noise.
Throw her heart
Side C on mine has quite a few pops but the rest of the album is pretty much dead silent. Really great sounding reissue!
Same here so it's probably on most copies I'm guessing ?? Why on Possum had to be that song right ...
Is this remastered? Any information in the dead wax who cut/mastered it?

This is a very nice sound pressing, Deep and dynamic. A nice surprise!
My copy has a Los Angeles address on the back cover. This listing states “Europe” as the country of origin. Bar codes match, so not sure if there should be a separate US listing for this title.
Yes, Los Angeles is the adress of the record company Warner Group, Not the manufacturing location.
watching to future
LP sounds great, sleeve isn't of great quality, too light and kind of underbuilt for having 2 disc in a non gatefold sleeve. I opened the cellophane on mine and before I could even take out one of the records the glue lines on the sleeve separated and I could see that had used a vastly insufficient amount of glue. Fortunately that's an easy fix, but the sleeve material is also very lightweight, more like a heavy paper than a cardboard (I'm talking about the outer sleeve). But Lou sounds awesome.
My sleeve was also separated at the top, out of the box.

Agreed, they skimped on the jacket but the discs are heavy and flat as can be. Poly-lined inners are also much appreciate to go with the printed inners.
