Generationwhy is the debut studio album by electronic music producer Zhu, released on July 29, 2016 by Columbia Records. The album followed after the success of ZHU's collaborative debut EP Genesis Series, released in 2015.

The full-length follows two EPs, 2014's The Nightday and 2015's Genesis Series. GENERATIONWHY arrives July 29, and it's slated to contain 14 tracks - including "Working For It," the collaboration with Skrillex and THEY. that has nearly 80 million plays on this site. Since then, Zhu has revealed himself to be Steven Zhu, a 27-year-old Chinese-American who studied music business at the University of Southern California. He’s continued his formula of juxtaposing dark production with sparse lyrics sung in his breathy, high-pitched voice, but he’s also been successful when he’s ventured away from that-the star-smeared Cocaine Model is as bright and glittery as the sky in Joshua Tree and the jittery Paradise Awaits positively struts
