A quick listen to Love. her 2004 solo debut, reveals that this is not an album she could have made with the group - it's too club-centric, too fashion-obsessed, too willfully weird to be a No Doubt album. Working with far too many collaborators - including Dr. Dre, the Neptunes, Linda Perry, Dallas Austin, André 3000, Nellee Hooper, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, and her No Doubt bandmate (and ex-boyfriend) Tony Kanal - Stefani has created a garish, neon-colored, deliberately stylish solo album that's intermittently exciting and embarrassing.

Stefani created the album to modernize the music to which she listened when in high school, and . takes influence from a variety of music styles of the 1980s and early 1990s such as new wave, synthpop, and electro. Stefani's decision to use her solo career as an opportunity to delve further into pop music instead. There are five different fragrances based on the four Harajuku Girls and Stefani herself called Love, Lil' Angel, Music, Baby and G (Gwen). As of January 2011, Stefani has become the spokesperson for L'Oréal Paris. After needing to wear glasses, Gwen began.

as a side project that would become a full album after No Doubt went on hiatus. It was designed to sound like a 1980s record and was inspired by artists like The Cure, Depeche Mode, Cyndi Lauper and Madonna. The album incorporates a diverse range of genres, including electropop, dance-rock, new wave, R&B, hip hop, soul, and disco, while lyrically, most of its songs are about fashion and wealth.

Gwen tackles pop, dance, hip hop, r&b, electro-synth-hop, and freestyle and comes out a winner with her bag of inventive samples (who'd have thunk fiddler on the roof samples would work?). Working with a slew of producers (including the aforementioned Hooper) Gwen gracefully embarks on a journey to define herself apart from No Doubt's history, letting us in on her fears, desires, and obsessions (including a few not-so blatant self promoting ads for a fashion label we won't name here) and making the engaged long for much more to come (Though

Album · 2004 · 12 Songs. No Doubt had been an adventurous rock outfit, but Gwen Stefani was free to explore a wider range of curiosities on her solo debut. With Cool and Crash, she nods to ’80s synth-pop and freestyle, but vintage quirks blend easily with modern glamor. By pairing the giddy fun of New Wave with hip-hop’s muscle, Stefani throws a party that pop fans from every era want to attend. Love, Angel, Music, Baby Gwen Stefani. Listen on Apple Music.

Redirected from Love. is the debut solo studio album by American singer Gwen Stefani. It was released on November 12, 2004, by Interscope Records. Stefani, who had previously released five albums as rock band No Doubt's lead singer, began recording solo material in early 2003. She began working on Love. as a side project that would become a full album after No Doubt went on hiatus

Gwen Stefani makes a fun guilty pleasure in "Love Angel Music Baby. The album itself is alomst perfect. Along the album you'll be so entertained by echno rhytym and music. The first four track, definitely you've heard them on the radio and watch the video on MTV. Bubble Pop Electric, her duet with Johnny Vulture . Andre 3000 is pretty funny, espscially the part Gwen called herself "bubble pop electric chick".
