In the poem The Lamb, William Blake incorporates his unique style through the use of religious symbolism, creative lines, and simple patterns. The Lamb was a part of a series of poems called the Songs of Innocence that was published in 1789. Poems that were more simplistic in style and nature became more contrition and prophetic in Songs of Experience. The dramatic perspectives and continual allusiveness of the lyrics in The Lamb have shown to be a key factor in Blake's writing and have been interpreted and reinterpreted by critics and readers ever since Blake's death. Blake utilizes his rhetoric genius by symbolically expressing the appearance of the lamb to that of the nature of God.

The Tiger And The Lamb" by The East Side Kids. 1968 Starting off with record show finds, this was the first one I picked up. If you've been following me for a while, you may have noticed I've been hinting towards this album lately. I forever categorized it in my mind as ver-like". Happy Birthday to the late Charlie Chaplin. ? His career spanned over 75 years from Vaudeville to the bright lights of Hollywood. An innovator and comedic genius who brought us timeless classics that continue to make us laugh.

5 is the fifth studio album by electronic music band Lamb, released on 5 May 2011 by Strata, after a 5-year hiatus. The record was the first album from the band after they reformed in 2009. The Independent found that little had changed since their split, with the band still sounding middle-class and unthreatening, although singer Lou Rhodes's voice was sounding more like Stevie Nicks. All tracks written by Andy Barlow and Lou Rhodes.

I am an old friend of the Group. I know about Mike and David. I heard about David Potter and lost track of Sally and Joe Madrid. I just assume that he married his girlfriend Nancy and went to work . I did run into Buzz many years ago. what happened?
Dennis Lambert who was in the early version of the band passed away some years back now. Jimmy Greenspoon (Three Dog Night) who was in the band at the same time as Dennis Lambert passed away a few years ago.
I see I Am is one of the best songs in Psych Rock recorded history
One of those odd rarities that's always had a place within my collection, going all the way back to the beginning of my record collecting days. Though definitely not one of the more memorable albums of the late 60's, as over the years it's been considered 2nd rate psychedelic rock by some. Understandably, as is the case with many late 60's one shot bands, the album does contain what some may refer to as filler. Nevertheless, I've always had a soft spot for it. Though admittedly it required patience and repeated listens back in the day before I was able to say I thoroughly enjoyed this LP."The Tiger And The Lamb" was produced by Buzz Clifford and Dan Moore, previously members of "Hamilton Streetcar". The musicianship on this album is quite good...most notably for me, David Potter's drumming. Yet at the same time the album seems to be lacking in direction and has a tendency to wander, in particular some of the cheesy vocal arrangements. This was quite possibly the intention, as it was 1968 after-all...and far stranger things were issued during that era in an attempt to please the youngsters. The album definitely has a psychedelic/pop vibe, and if you can get past the intermittent directionless, it's rather enjoyable."The Tiger And The Lamb" was released on UNI Records, who were a subsidiary of Universal City Records/MCA. Many other late 60's psychedelic and hard rock American bands saw issue on this label as well, and are today all very sought after by collectors. A few of those bands/artists were; The Hook, The Yellow Payges, Warm Dust, Giant Crab, Alexander's Timeless Bloozband, Mars Bonfire, Fever Tree, and The Smoke, to name a few.The East Side Kids band lineup was as follows:Joe Madrid - Lead VocalsDavid Doud - GuitarMike Doud - BassDavid Potter (aka D.F. Potter) - DrumsThe East Side Kids drummer David Potter was also a touring band member and played on the Lee Michaels "Carnival of Life" album. Contrary to what the album credits on that release have lead us to believe over the years, Eddie Hoh is NOT the drummer on "Carnival of Life"... David Potter is the drummer on all of that album, with the exception of "My Friends," which is the only song Eddie Hoh played on (see asterisk next to his name on back of Carnival Of Life LP). David's name was omitted from the credits because of his decision to leave the band, and a falling out with Lee Michaels.David also played drums in the bands "Endle St. Cloud", and "Potter St. Cloud", and for awhile was one of the most sought after session drummers in the world, laying down drum tracks for the likes of Janis Joplin, Leon Russell, Joe Cocker and numerous others.I've added my YouTube video, which features photos/scans of my East Side Kids 'Tiger And The Lamb' LP; jacket/cover, labels, etc, along with audio sourced from my vinyl. Please see the release page here at Discogs. Thanks.
