Nah, this album doesn't really start until track 6 for me. B-tone opens the party with a nice simple bass-line. It certainly aint dark trance, but darker than before, and they keep the pace. Safi Connection takes over and retreats to more typical full-on, but things improve again with Chemical Drive. They too keep it darker and I like this in full-on. Happy full-on is just too happy. This track is my favourite on the album together with the next track from Reflex. They too maintain a darker full-on vibe. Actually, I think this track could work great at night time.

The first Mythos LP was released in 1972, on the legendary 'Krautrock' label Ohr. On 'Mythos' the band realized a mixture of art rock and psychedelic with oriental influences in lengthy pieces. Stephan Kaske played the melody from Händel's 'Fireworks Music' on the flute in a rockmeets-classic version. Oriental Journey-Hero's Death' creates a psychedelic mood with sitar and mellotron sounds

Another full-on compilation on the market. I will try to keep this comment brief, as there is no need to elaborate much. You've heard it a thousand times before. You get some very decent full-on tracks, you get some less good, and you get some fillers. A bit unusual, on this compilation the fillers are put in the beginning of the cd. Beat Hackers vs Michele Adamson and Lemurians begin this cd and I find them quite boring. Things get better with Atomic Pulse. More things start to happen and the vibe is held somewhat more up, but it's not until Liquid Phase the album catches my attention. LP maintains a mean bassline and presents us with a darker full-on. Which is more my style. Much better than the beginning :o) The stick is passed to Ibojima that repeats a short melody throughout the track. I known I've heard this melody and the moon landing sample many times before but can't recall from where. From an old classic psytrack I know. Nice full-on'ish parts in this track but I have problems with the over-sweet female vox that kicks in. It's full-on happy, but still has an edge that can be perceived as intimidating. When a track has that combination I am happy. Great track. Airona is treated the job of ending this baby and chooses to let us down the way we entered. Another dance track, not bad, not great. Just one in the crowd. So what do I think of the album? Well, if you don't like full on, stear clear! If you do you might really enjoy this album. The first half is typical full-on enjoyed by crowds at festivals. Second half is darker (but again, not DARK. At all!) and more interesting I think. Hmm ... actually, a full-on fan might really enjoy this album from start to end; you begin in known territorities, then no-mans land followed by unknown territories, to come down with known full-on again. Shit, it's the Lord of the Rings all over again :o) Go ahead, Bilbo. This could be your precious ...
