Travelin' Light (J. Cale song). Cale recorded the song in 1976 and released it in September 1976 on his studio album Troubadour and it was also released as a single by Shelter Records the same year. Cale's recording was produced by Audie Ashworth and is two minute and 50 second long.

Cale's albums are so steeped in his introspective style that they become interchangeable. If you like one of them, chances are you'll want to have them all. This one is notable for introducing "Cocaine," which Eric Clapton covered on his Slowhand album a year later.

Travelin' Light" was covered by Eric Clapton on his 2001 album Reptile, and by Widespread Panic on their debut album Space Wrangler. The Sensitive Kind" was covered by Santana on their 1981 album Zebop!, and by John Mayall on his 1990 album A Sense of Place. Mama Don't" was covered by French singer Francis Cabrel under the title "Madame n'aime pas" on his 2008 album Des roses et des orties. In 2014, Eric Clapton & Friends released the tribute album The Breeze: An Appreciation of JJ Cale
